Dr. Guigó received his
PhD from the Universitat de Barcelona. He developed mathematical
and computer models in Population genetics and Evolutionary
Ecology.
He conducted posdoctoral research at the Dana Faber Cancer Institute
(Harvard University) and later on he moved to the Engineering
Research cancer at Boston Univ.
To work in the field of sequence analysis and gene identification.
Then, he continue his research with Los Alamos National Lab
where he worked essentially on genome analayses related problems.
Since 1994 he is a researcher at the Institut Municipal d'Investigacio
Medica and also an associated professor with the Univ. Pompeu
Fabra.
He is working actually with gene identification and evolution
of genome structure. |
