While working on his Ph.D. he moved increasingly towards high-troughput experiments and obtained a MSc in Bioinformatics from the Universidad Complutense.
He is mainly involved in two data analysis topics:
Gonzalo has been at the Bioinformatics Unit since 2006 and he is the UBio link to traslational researchers. He currently works with CNIO experimental groups focused in traslational oncology. Moreover, he is very interesting in linking the clinical and the molecular worlds by means of bioinformatics.
Contact Gonzalo if you are interested in data analysis methods for genomics experiments, gene set-based approaches, statistical methods for microarrays, NGS, etc. He has skills in experimental biology and is used to working in collaboration with wet-lab researchers and clinicians.
