Daniel Glez-Peña was born in Ourense, Spain in 1982. He obtained a Computer Science degree in 2005 and his PhD in 2009 in the field of Artificial Intelligence applied to the DNA microarray analysis in the University of Vigo.
Nowadays, he teaches several programming-related subjects at the School of Computer Engineering at the University of Vigo and continues his research works within the SING group.
His main research interests are focused on applying AI techniques, such as Machine Learning, Text-mining, Multi-Agent systems, etc. to practical problems, mainly in the field of Bioinformatics. He is also specialized in the development of translational applications, such as:
