The CNIO Bioinformatics Unit organises an internal Course on Data Analysis Guidelines for New Microarray Platforms, to be held on Tuesday, October 6th 2009, at the CNIO Seminars Room, 3rd floor. The development of new microarray platforms for the analysis of miRNAs expression levels, genomic variations (CNVs, SNPs...) and epigenomic alterations require the use of automated analysis methods which facilitate their interpretation, and help to understand of the underlying biological processes. In this practical course you will review the state of the art and the main approaches for the numerical analysis of these new microarray platforms in quick-start tutorials. The hands-on exercises will introduce publicly available resources and intuitive applications to manage microarray data sets, and to identify biological processes underlying the experiments. To make more interesting the hands-on sessions we invite you to bring your own data. *This course is an extension of the “Introduction to Microarrays Gene Expression Analysis” training course, and assistance to such previous UBio Training Course is a mandatory prerequisite for this course attendants. * The course is limited to 15 persons. Laptop computers will be provided to the attendants. Please contact us ( This e-mail address is being protected from spambots.
